iForm
iForm allows you to create intelligent custom windows for iMIS®.
Fields on iForm windows can have custom validation rules associated with them, and the windows themselves can contain business logic that is executed whenever a record in iMIS® is updated. iForm can also be used to allow iMIS® and iFind or iSync to communicate with each other.
Using a graphical window designer, you can create windows that contain data from any number of different iMIS® tables. Each field can have validation rules, and the window itself can contain validation for standard iMIS® fields. For example, iForm could warn users that the iMIS® Name they just entered does not have valid data in a demographic field, or that the postal code does not match the state. iForm could also automatically capitalize address lines, or impose custom formatting on any field.
Control iMIS processing
iForm can control iMIS® processing and improve the accuracy of your data.
iForm can also execute simple tasks. For example, an email could be sent to the regional sales manager whenever a new member in their region is added to the database, or a custom counter field automatically incremented each time a "CALL" activity is recorded.
iForm can also be used to alert users about certain data, or flag members based on their details. For example, an iForm window could display a summary of a member’s contact history for a call centre. When a new member is selected in iMIS®, the iForm window would update automatically to display the number of phone calls, emails and letters the member has made/sent in the last 12 months.
iFind Integration
Also, iForm can be used to allow iFind and iMIS® to communicate with each other. This could be as simple as keeping the programs synchronized, so that as a new member is selected in iMIS®, iFind automatically moves to the same record. It could also be used to automate iFind and iSync tasks from within iMIS®. For example, you could select a record in iMIS®, press a button in an iForm window and have iFind send a pre-defined fax to the member. You could also press a button in an iForm window and have iSync add the currently selected member in iMIS® to your Outlook contacts.
The power of iForm is that you create the rules and how it all looks and works.
