iView is no longer supported by Metisc. Don't worry though, we have a better product called iRemote available.  The details are provided below.

iRemote is the fastest and easiest way to access information in iMIS connected to your database or off line. Drop-down menus and English-language queries make searching simple, and powerful export and reporting capabilities make it easy to use the information you find.

Streamlined for productivity 

iRemote increases the productivity of everyone in your organisation. iMIS users will be impressed with its ability to simplify and speed many everyday tasks. Managers and staff who are not familiar with iMIS can find and use the member data they need without having to learn anything about iMIS. 

Search for the Information You Want

iRemote handles searches from the simple to the most complex:

• Search on data in virtually any field or table in iMIS, including custom tables.
• Enter questions in English-choose from a library of pre-defined queries or let Metisc customise queries to fit your needs.
• Use iMIS adhoc searches; for example, select meeting attendees or committee members.
• Link to tables outside of iMIS; nested searching produces complex results with minimal effort.
• Do random searches: choose 500 members at random for a survey, or sample records to verify the accuracy of recently entered data.
• Take your data on the road with you, recording Activities that can be synchronised back to iMIS when you return.

Display Results

iRemote displays your search results in rows, making it easy to glance through the records quickly. Of course, you can also examine one record at a time.

• iRemote shows you all the information about each member, including data from multiple custom tables, on one screen.
• iRemote supports multiple roles for members. So if one of your board members is also on a particular committee, she will appear in searches for either committee members or board members.

Use the Information You Find

iRemote lets you use the results of your search in a variety of ways. You can build contact lists, generate reports and other documents, and create graphs and charts.

• Print
  Send documents to any printer on your network or any printing service. Mail-merge capability lets you personalise direct mail campaigns; matching labels or envelopes are generated with a few clicks.
• Fax
  Send faxes using the built-in links to fax service bureaus like Expedite and MediaLinq.
• E-mail
  Design e-mail broadcasts using full mail-merge capability. You can use templates and include attachments. iView generates HTML automatically, but you can send plain text if you prefer.

You can also define rules for sending out a communication. For example, you can tell iRemote to send the communication by e-mail if the member has an e-mail address; if there's no e-mail, send it by fax; if there's no fax or e-mail, use regular mail.

Or you can use member preferences stored in iMIS. Should a member want to receive dues information at work by mail, board meeting agendas at work by fax, and committee-related information at home by e-mail, you can accommodate his preferences.

Update iMIS

iRemote lets you record activity status or add new activities in iMIS, so you can keep a record of actions taken as a result of your searches.

• The activity can include a link to related documents, so you can easily see what information was sent.
• For faster updating, you can assign function keys to specific activities. For example, a telemarketer can record the result of a phone call with just one click.
• You can use start and stop buttons to record the length of time an activity took; for example, the duration of a phone call.
